The Great Race - July 25, 2026

The running of the Slate Creek Relay, although sponsored by the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce, involves over 150 volunteers, and the close coordination of various Wellington City, Sumner County, Wellington Township and many other significant contributors.

The Great Race was initiated at the Slate Creek Depot in 1976.

2025 Chamber Golf Classic

22nd ANNUAL WELLINGTON GOLF CLASSIC
WELLINGTON GOLF CLUB 4-PERSON SCRAMBLE

Date for 2026 - June 5 with a 1:00pm shotgun start

Wellington is lucky to have the Wellington Golf Club. Each year the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the Annual Chamber Golf Classic. It is a 4-Person Scramble with a shotgun start at the Wellington Golf Club: 1500 W Harvey Ave, Wellington, KS 67152.

Registration -

The tournament will take place on June 5th with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start, and we are currently booking teams.

The cost is $80 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, a meal, water, a specialty beverage, snacks, and even a bite to eat before hitting the greens.

Players can add Mulligans during registration.
Mulligans are $10 each, or participants can take advantage of our $20 Mulligan Package, which includes two Mulligans and a grenade.
Mulligans will also be available for purchase at the registration table on the day of the event.
